My NeW aRmChAiRs!

Aquí están por fin las butacas restauradas...a mi me gusta bastante el resultado; ¿qué opináis?

La CaSa AzUl

En el sur de la ciudad de México, en Coyoacán, se encuentra la casa dónde nació, vivió y murió Frida Kahlo, ya desde fuera se puede observar la típica arquitectura mexicana que Frida y su marido, Diego Rivera, siempre admiraron, de ahí el color azul característico y la cantidad de elementos prehispánicos presentes. 
A pesar de que muchas de las obras más conocidas de Frida no se encuentran en este museo, sí se pueden observar algunas muy representativas como Las dos Fridas o Viva la Vida, pero en mi opinión lo más interesante es poder observar sus objetos y rincones personales como su cama, sus espejos, fotografías, sus corsés, sus libros...
Actualmente se puede visitar la exposición Las Apariencias Engañan: Los Vestidos de Frida Kahlo, y es que en 2004 se abrieron baños, baúles y armarios que habían permanecido bajo llave por petición de Diego Rivera descubriendo así documentos, fotografías, obra plástica y una colección de ropa integrada por más de 300 piezas.

In the south of Mexico City, in the neighborhood called Coyoacán, is the house where Frida Kahlo born, lived and died, once you arrived you can see the typical mexican architecture that Frida and her husband, Diego Rivera, always admired, hence the characteristic blue on the walls and the amount of prehispanic elements.
Although many of the Frida´s best-known art paintings are not found in this museum, you can see some very representative like Las dos Fridas or Viva la Vida, but in my opinion the most interesting thing in this visit is that you can see her personal objects and how was her life in the house, you can visit the bedroom, the kitchen, the library...
Currently you can visit the exhibition Las Apariencias Engañan: Los Vestidos de Frida Kahlo, in 2004 bathrooms, trunks and closets were opened, they had remained locked by request of Diego Rivera, then documents, photographs, artistic work and a collection of clothes made up of more than 300 pieces could be discovered.

Y seguimos con muebles...esta vez le toca el turno a un par de butacas rescatadas de un cambio de muebles en un hotel, así que algo se podrá hacer con ellas...en breve os mostraré el resultado.

And we keep going with furniture...this time it´s the turn of a couple of armchairs recovered from an old hotel, so I thought that something can be done with them...shortly I´ll show you the result.

Otra semana más y otro nuevo proyecto...aunque podría decirse que es la continuación del anterior; ahora le toca el turno a la mesa...la idea es pintarla como las sillas, a ver cómo quedará...el resultado a finales de semana!!!

One more week and another new project...although it could be said that this is a continuation of the last one; now it´s the table´s turn...I think I´m going to paint it like the chairs, to the end of the week we´ll see the result!!!

Me han prestado estas sillas con opción a hacerle lo que quiera...así que me he decidido a darles una nueva cara, a ver cómo quedan; a finales de semana espero poder poner el resultado.

Hello everybody!

My first post and my first project of the year...it´s well known...NEW YEAR NEW LIFE...
A friend of mine lent me these chairs and I can do with they whatever I want...so I have decided give them a new face; by the end of the week I hope show you the result.
